Sun Smart

At Springside Primary School we provide the following SunSmart initiatives:

• We have a sun smart policy you can view on our policy page
• We have 6 extra-large shade sails around the school
• Covered walkways to access most school buildings
• In term 1 & 4 we have hats as part of the uniform 
• Students must wear them when playing out of shade
• Our staff model correct personal sun-protection behaviour for our students
• We work directly with our students to support them in correct sun protection
