Device Specifications
Do I need to purchase a new device?
No, If your family already has an iPad, you may wish for your child to use it. The options to buy a device are for families needing one.
In order to ensure that your device will last the duration of the program we recommend the following models:
– iPad (9th generation), iPad (10th Generation) & iPad A16 (11th Generation)
– iPad Air (5th Generation), iPad Air (M2), iPad Air (M3) & iPad Air (M4)
– iPad Pro (6th Generation), iPad Pro (7th Generation) & iPad Pro (8th Generation)
Additionally to avoid storage issues, a minimum of 64 GB of storage is essential.
Please note: Android devices are not supported.
Where do I purchase a device?
Springside PS works through our supplier CompNow to ensure that the latest iPad model and recommended accessories are available.

Do I need to purchase any accessories?
It is recommended in order to expand the functionality of your child’s iPad that a Bluetooth keyboard and Bluetooth headphones are purchased, both of these accessories are available through the school purchase portal.
Additionally it is a requirement that students participating in the BYOD program, purchase a cover to protect their device. We also recommend a screen protector.
Connectivity
During the enrolment process your child’s device will be configured to connect to the school network. We will be able to assist if your student forgets their pin code or can’t locate their device.
